Both Tokyo Solamachi (near Tokyo Skytree) and Ueno Park also run Christmas markets with food, crafts, and family activities.
Family Events
Tokyo Solamachi
Children's workshops, Santa photo sessions, and Christmas goods throughout the Solamachi complex make this a solid family destination for the full holiday season.
Ueno Park
Panda-themed Christmas decorations throughout the park, family-oriented live events, and photo spots.
Tokyo Disney Resort
The resort's Christmas program runs through the holiday season with parades, shows, and seasonal theming across both parks.
Date-Night Destinations
Marunouchi Illumination
Champagne-gold illumination along the 1.2km stretch from Tokyo Station toward the Marunouchi business district.

Tokyo Tower's winter illumination and the Shiodome Caretta illumination are also worth noting for couples looking for skyline and light combinations.
Planning Notes
- Most events run from mid-November through December 25. Check specific dates on official sites before going.
- Popular venues (Yokohama market, Disney Resort) are busiest on weekends and the evenings of December 23-25. Plan accordingly.
- Tokyo Midtown, Marunouchi, and Roppongi Hills are walkable from each other — combine them for a single evening route.
- All outdoor events are weather-dependent. Confirm the day before if conditions are uncertain.
